You have heard everything there is to say about this topic already. You know that, with new variants popping up around the globe, you need to keep your distance, wear a mask, and wash your hands. These are things that will probably be with us for another year... Just don’t forget about staying mentally healthy!
I want to take this time to encourage our patients to get outside! Being isolated and shut indoors has taken its toll on more than just our waistline. Many people are experiencing depression from the isolation and social anxiety at the thought of interacting socially again.
We at TelePsycRX want to encourage you to take the necessary precautions, but to start getting out there. Go play a round of golf, hit the beach, or just take a walk around your neighborhood park. Feel the sunshine and breath in the fresh air again.
Take the time to treat yourself to the things you love! Staying mentally healthy is such a vital piece of our overall wellness, you need to plan for it and give yourself the time you deserve to be your best self.
